WWE changes King Corbin's name

Behold! King Corbin is king no more!

WWE is no longer billing Corbin with the “King” in his name.

This is due to his loss against Shinsuke Nakamura in a Battle for the Crown match on SmackDown, two weeks ago.

King Corbin's name has now been changed back to just “Baron Corbin” on the official roster page on WWE.com.

What's even more interesting is that WWE recently filed trademark for "Happy Corbin," signally a potential face turn for the former king.

A defeated and disappointed Baron Corbin has also changed his Twitter name from “THE KING” to “THE KING IS DEAD.”

Meanwhile, the new King Nakamura then had his official coronation as king this past Friday. However, WWE is yet to add the "King" title to his name, as his name is still "Shinsuke Nakamura" on WWE.com's roster page.

Below is a post-SmackDown footage released by WWE, of Megan Morant trying to interview Baron Corbin.

“I was a wealthy man, but now….” - Baron Corbin

It is currently unknown what WWE has planned for Baron as we get closer to SummerSlam.

Stay tuned for updates on the same!
