Bryan Danielson on the possibility of Brie Bella joining AEW, and more
Bryan Danielson, FKA Daniel Bryan ended his 11 year run with his former employer, WWE, when he finally signed with All Elite Wrestling and made his debut at the promotion's All Out PPV, this past Sunday.
During the media scrum following All Out, Bryan was asked about the possibility of his wife, Brie Bella following into his footsteps and joining AEW.
Bryan thinks that would not be an easy thing to do.
“So, that would be very difficult. It was hard for me to come here because I have so many ties within WWE. She’s happy there, she has so many business connections there. So, I don’t know.”
It is widely believed that one of the main reasons Danielson signed with AEW was the ability for him to work in both Japan and Mexico, while being an AEW Superstar.
While Bryan says that he would love to work New Japan, his focus currently is on AEW while the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
“We all know we’re in a weird situation within the world. I would love, love, love, love, love to go wrestle in New Japan, would love that. But with COVID being what it is right now, I can’t quarantine for two weeks to go do a couple shows in Japan. I just can’t do it. I would love to go wrestle in Mexico, but I don’t know if that’s the safest thing in the world for me right now. For right now, I’m going to focus on AEW and then go from there.”
Bryan says that he is not concerned with the business aspect of All Elite Wrestling. While he would love to make money and raise the profile of the promotion, at the moment, his main goal is to produce "excellent wrestling!"
